Loft Insulation
Heat rises so insulating your loft is a very good idea. Poor loft insulation is the second most common way in which houses lose heat. Furthermore, it is another effective way in terms of saving money. As much as 25% of your energy bill can be saved by effective loft insulation if your loft is not currently insulated. Current building regulations for new buildings require 250mm or 10 inches of loft insulation. This increase highlights the growing recognition of insulation, and its environmental importance. Your loft may already have some insulation in it, but how much money it saves you depends very much on the thickness of the insulation. The ideal thickness for good loft insulation is 200mm/8’inches, thus if yours is less than this it will definitely need a top up.
What does it involve?
